Small settings that save a lot of battery
Mobile games are hungry, but a few settings tweaks make a real difference. The first thing I check is the frame rate cap. Dropping from 60 to 30 frames often halves the heat and stretches battery noticeably, and in most genres you won't feel it.
Next is the effects or detail slider. Fancy lighting and particle effects are the biggest silent drain. A medium setting usually looks nearly identical on a phone screen while running far cooler. Turning off screen-shake and motion blur helps too, and honestly feels better for long sessions.
Brightness is the one people forget. Auto-brightness plus one notch lower manual cap does more for endurance than almost any in-game option. Pair that with airplane mode for offline games and you'll be shocked how long a charge lasts.
None of these are drastic, and I switch them back for a home session on the charger. But before a flight or a long train ride, this five-second routine is worth it.
